PWD Club cardholders get a FREE cup of coffee every week!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 12, 2025 – SEATTLE, WA
Starbucks and The PWD Club today announced a groundbreaking national partnership designed to uplift and reward people with disabilities across the globe. Beginning this fall, every active PWD Club cardholder will be eligible for one free, handcrafted beverage per week at participating Starbucks locations — bringing visibility, value, and belonging to the disability community.
“We believe in creating spaces where everyone feels a true sense of belonging — not just in our stores, but in society,”
said Deb Hall Lefevre, Starbucks Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
“This partnership with The PWD Club supports our ongoing journey to serve the disability community with dignity, equity, and real value — and to help set a new standard for how brands show up in this space.”
Starbucks has long been recognized for its leadership in inclusive hiring, accessible design, and advocacy. The company’s Signing Stores, partnerships with Disability:IN, and consistent top scores on the Disability Equality Index are part of a larger effort to make disability inclusion a business imperative.
The PWD Club and Starbucks alliance was announced by Howard Shultz, Starbuck’s original chief executive, and now chairman emeritus, who acknowledged the global brand’s cycle of deepening customer connection and loyalty to the Starbucks brand that reverberates all around the world.
PWD Club executives could not agree more:
“Whether it’s a quiet moment over coffee or a familiar place to connect — Starbucks is part of the rhythm of daily life, globally.”
said Larry Rothstein, founder of The PWD Club.
”We’re honored to work together to bring more access and dignity to our members’ routines. This is not a one-off gesture — it’s a long-term commitment by our two organizations.”
